Dawn FM is the fifth studio album by Canadian singer-songwriter The Weeknd. It was released on January 7, 2022, through XO and Republic Records, following his fourth studio album, After Hours. The album features guest appearances from Tyler, the Creator and Lil Wayne, with narration and spoken-word contributions from Jim Carrey, & Quincy Jones. Dawn FM is primarily a synth-pop, dance-pop, and R&B album heavily influenced by 1980s new wave, funk, and electronic dance music. The album incorporates a continuous radio-broadcast concept. Dawn FM centers on death, purgatory, regret, self-reflection, and the search for acceptance. The Weeknd described its central idea as a journey through purgatory toward the "light at the end of a tunnel."
