Old US&S Searchlight Signals had a brilliant design, only needing one light instead of multiple for position lights. The color changes by a mechanical wheel inside that moves a colored filter to change the color of the lights. Today, these signals are rapidly disappearing in favor of the cheaper Colorlight signal. If you want a piece of railroad history and variation in your railroad, searchlight signals are a great choice.
