After the disasterous field trials with the Type-2.0, 2.5 & 2.6 investigators found the problems: the outdated turret design and a lack of necessary equipment. The team designed a brand new turret with a remote controlled turret (as per request of the crews), storage boxes, commander periscopes, a basket, an antenna and one less machinegun. The hull recieved improvements: outerior fire extinguisher, tow/crane hooks, jack tool, improved driver's vision system, barrel cleaner and entrechment tools.
