Philips’ introduced SpeedStar; an affordable, high-performance, energy efficient, and long lasting luminaire requiring minimal maintenance. Project savings were further enhanced as Philips also supplied new columns and brackets when replacing existing lighting system. SpeedStar is the ideal solution for functional road and street lighting that is as good for the environment as it is for a project’s budget. To give Airbus the flexibility they needed, Philips also introduced Dynadimmer, a stand-alone dimming solution. It is easy to install in the luminaire or pole without any need for external control components or additional signal wiring. It is fully flexibleand can be reprogrammed at any time to fit new lighting demands if changes are needed, making it a truly ‘fit and forget’ dimming solution. Philips’ Dynadimmer made it possible for Airbus to have variable dimming across different areas of the Bristol site, enabling the lighting to operate at 75% at the Gatehouse and 50% on the rest
