EFT Ka-32 MES Helicopter

Kamov Ka-32 (EMERCOM) is a specialized heavy utility helicopter widely used by emergency services for firefighting, search and rescue, disaster relief, and heavy-lift operations. Its distinctive coaxial rotor system eliminates the need for a tail rotor, providing excellent maneuverability and precise control in confined areas. The Ka-32 can be equipped with a large external firefighting water tank, rescue equipment, or a cargo sling, making it highly effective in urban firefighting and other demanding emergency operations. Drawbacks: high operating and maintenance costs, significant fuel consumption, limited cabin space compared with larger transport helicopters, and reduced performance when carrying heavy external loads in hot or high-altitude conditions. The complex coaxial rotor system also requires specialized maintenance and trained personnel.
