Joseon / Korean traditional belt 서대 (15th–18th)

KOREAN 이 각대는 15세기부터 18세기까지 조선시대에 사용된 서대(犀帶)를 바탕으로 제작되었습니다. 서대는 서각(犀角), 즉 코뿔소 뿔로 만든 장식판을 부착한 고위 관원의 품대로, 주로 1품 관원이 착용하였습니다. 본 모델은 각 시대에 전해지는 조선시대 각대 유물과 관련 사료의 형태적 특징을 참고하여 제작하였습니다. ENGLISH This is a Seodae, a high-ranking official’s belt used during the Joseon Dynasty from the 15th to the 18th century. Seodae was a prestigious rank belt decorated with rhinoceros-horn plaques and was primarily associated with first-rank officials. This model was created with reference to the forms and characteristics of surviving Joseon-period belts and historical materials from each period.
