During their first Hamburg trip in 1960, Lennon bought himself a new guitar which was a "1958 Rickenbacker 325", he would use this in his entire career with the Beatles throughout 1960 to 1964. The guitar was made in natural finish, a Kaufmann vibrato, gold pickguard. John mounted a Bigsby B5 vibrato and a bowtie bridge.
