Flying Scotsman - locomotive, tender and coach, 2,682 parts The A3 Pacific in apple green with a teak corridor coach behind it, 123 studs over the three. The locomotive is built round its wheel arrangement: a four-wheel leading bogie, three sets of spoked driving wheels with balance weights, and a trailing truck. Cab with roof, spectacle plates and crew steps that reach the ground, so you can climb onto the footplate and sit down. The tender carries sixty individually placed lumps of coal, with its own steps and a water hatch. The coach is six compartments off a side corridor, with sliding compartment doors, slatted luggage racks, 26 seats and full-height slam doors with droplights and brass handles. Fourteen doorways in all, each working on a prompt, held open in station mode, and each with a flight of steps down to the ballast. Safety chains, leaf springs, buffers and lamp irons throughout. No solid modelling.
